This is not only juvenile, but highly annoying to everyone around you. Of course, this is all the more reason to indulge. Recall an amusing situation or joke and let it rip. When asked what you find amusing, shake your head and smile demurely. Tell the inquisitor that "you just had to be there," or "it's nothing you'd find interesting." This will automatically raise your status from giggling twit to person of curiosity.
